Begin your boat and walking tour aboard a motorboat en route to Murano, passing the island of San Giorgio Maggiore, the tip of Sant’Elena and the Lido. Tour Murano, which is famous for its colorful glass-making. Visit a glass blower to learn about the process and marvel at the intricate pieces, including elaborate chandeliers. From here continue to Burano, a picture-perfect island known for its colorful houses and elegant lacework. The Vatican Museums are considered among the most important in the world and a visit to them is a must for anyone traveling to Rome. You will start your day with an in depth VIP guided tour of the Vatican City, including the Sistine Chapel, the Museums (with special access to Raffaello’s rooms, Borgia Apartments and the Carriages Rooms), St Peter’s Basilica (with the Treasure Room) and St Peter’s Square. The second part of the day will be dedicated to the Classic Rome, with the visit of the main landmarks like Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, St Peter’s Basilica and Piazza Navona, etc.
Vatican and classic Rome tour
After an early breakfast, our tour guide will come to pick you up at your hotel and take you to the Vatican City for an exceptional private tour. In this private visit, you will be able to enter and admire the most important rooms of the Museums, including special access to the Borgia Apartments, the Carriages Rooms, the Raffaello’s Rooms, and of course the Sistine Chapel. The tour will of course also include St Peters Basilica and St Peters Square. After a quick but pleasant stop for lunch in an authentic Roman restaurant, you will move on to exploring the Classic Rome. Our local guide will take you on a pleasant stroll through the historical center, where you can admire the Trevi Fountain, La Colonna di Marco Aurelio, the Palazzo di Montecitorio, designed by Bernini, the Pantheon (visit inside), Palazzo Madama (seat of the senate), and Piazza Navona. You will then continue towards Trevi Fountain and finally the Spanish Steps. After the tour your guide will take you back to your hotel.

Visit the popular food market here, where stalls overflow with fresh veggies, meats, and cheeses. While you take in the bustling atmosphere, meet some of the vendors, who provide samples of their tasty goods.
Next, head over to Trastevere, a quaint neighborhood whose cobbled lanes are home to favorite local restaurants and cafes. Walkthrough the district with your guide, stopping at various eateries for tastings of classic Roman dishes like pasta, pizza bianca (pizza with no tomato sauce), fresh mozzarella cheese, locally cured salami, and artisan gelato.
Then continue to the Jewish Quarter, a bohemian district south of Rome’s historical center known for its vintage shops and art studios. Stop by local grocery stores and delicatessens around Piazza della Cinque Scole for samples of specialties like risotto balls, known as suppli, and fried artichokes and codfish. With a full stomach, your tour ends in Trastevere.
